Preference will be given to individuals whose main interests include training predoctoral students in the science and practice of clinical psychology as well as maintaining an active research program. Syracuse University’s doctoral scientist–practitioner training program in clinical psychology has enjoyed continuous accreditation by the American Psychological Association since 1956. Five clinical faculty members maintain research programs in clinical health psychology (e.g., assessment and treatment of alcohol and other drug-related problems, etiology of substance use disorders, sexual health and HIV prevention, and cardiovascular psychophysiology and risk reduction).
