assessment and treatment for
children with feeding difficulties at
three levels of intensity: consultative
assessment, weekly outpatient
treatment, and interdisciplinary day
treatment. Children are admitted to
this program, regardless of whether
they have a disorder on the autism
spectrum. The first position,
at the assistant/associate professor
level, will include active clinical
involvement along with strong
support for developing a line of research
in related areas and establishing
external funding for these
efforts. This psychologist will previously
have been licensed and will
provide supervision to behavioral
technicians and trainees, including
undergraduates, graduate students,
predoctoral interns (APA-accredited
program) and postdoctoral fellows.
Strong candidates will have
a proven research record, a strong
history of publication in peer-reviewed
journals, and a clear commitment
to service and training. In
addition, there will be opportunities
to provide community and continuing
education. A second position,
at the assistant professor level,
will provide ideal opportunities
to hone clinical, supervisory, and
research skills in the context of a
unique trans-disciplinary treatment
program. Active involvement with
day treatment and outpatient cases
will be expected. In addition to
providing direct care, the position
will involve supervising behavioral
technicians and participation in an
interdisciplinary team. In addition,
this psychologist will support ongoing
research efforts and develop
empirical support to validate treatment
approaches used in the clinic.
Both positions requires a doctoral
degree in clinical or school psychology,
strong background in behavioral
psychology, experience delivering
clinical services to children
in medical settings, and license-eligibility
in Georgia. The positions
