Our student-athletes boast a long-standing record of success on the fields of play and in the classroom. They also enjoy playing in our world-class athletics facilities, which are located right on campus. The 3,500-seat Sports Arena has hosted the World University Games and NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Final Four, while the 1,800-seat Ice Arena serves as a practice facility for the National Hockey League’s Buffalo Sabres. Men’s Sports Basketball Cross-Country Football Ice Hockey Soccer Swimming and Diving Track and Field Women’s Sports Basketball Cheerleading Cross-Country Ice Hockey Lacrosse Soccer Softball Swimming and Diving Track and Field Volleyball Fitness Center Located in the Houston Gymnasium, Buffalo State’s 4,500-square-foot Fitness Center includes high performance exercise equipment consisting of the latest in cardiovascular and strength-training technology. In all, 45 exercise stations plus 25 pieces of cardio equipment line the state-of-the-art Fitness Center, which is free to all Buffalo State undergraduate students who apply for membership. Recreation and Intramurals Even if you are not an NCAA athlete, Buffalo State offers plenty of activities to keep you active. Our recreation and intramurals program continuously develops new programs for students. Whether it’s a fitness class in Houston Gym, swimming in Kissinger pool, open skating at the Ice Arena, or co-ed intramural softball on Bengal Field, we have you covered.
