SAE Foundation

In	2010,	the	Foundation	underwent	an	 intentional transition to provide a renewed focus	on	donor	relations.	The	first	step	 of the process involved an increase in communications. Toward this goal, a newsletter highlighting programs and donations was introduced. In addition, several new initiatives to recognize donors were introduced. These include: •	 Sustainers	Club	–	created	to	recognize	 the philanthropic spirit of individuals who	have	given	to	the	SAE	Foundation	 throughout their lifetime. •	 Siegel	Society	–	established	to	 acknowledge the special group of dedicated friends who support the mission	of	the	SAE	Foundation	through	 a bequest in their will, a charitable gift annuity or trust.

•	 Women’s	Giving	Circle	–developed	 to help reverse the decline in women engineering undergraduates, as well as workforce under representation, by supporting	the	SAE	Foundation	and	its	 programs.	Programs	provide	opportunities	 for young females to experience science, technology, engineering, and mathematics STEM education and provide additional opportunities for female STEM professionals. •	 Fellows	Giving	Circle	–	created	to	 provide network that is a catalyst for positive	change.	The	Fellows	Giving	 Circle	brings	together	SAE	Fellows,	 to	personally	support	the	Foundation’s	 mission and programs, and to reach out to educate donors and prospects about	the	SAE	Foundation.
